On July 16, 2018, the Brazilian Ministry of Industry and Foreign Trade issued the Foreign Trade Secretariat's No. 27 announcement in the Brazilian Official Gazette, stating that it decided to use non-oriented silicon steel (laminados planos de aço ao silício) originating from mainland China, South Korea and Taiwan. , denominados magnéticos) initiated the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation. The dumping investigation period of this case is from October 2016 to September 2017, and the damage analysis period is from October 2012 to September 2017. Stakeholders should participate in the investigation through the SDD Digital Information System (Sistema DECOM Digital) and submit relevant evidence materials. The SDD system is available at http://decomdigital.mdic.gov.br. Stakeholders may appoint a legal representative to the Palestinian party within 20 days from the date of publication of this review, and submit the legal representative's qualification certificate within 91 days.

The questionnaire will be sent to each exporter/producer, importer and other domestic manufacturers. The company involved must fill out the questionnaire within 30 days from the date of sending the questionnaire and submit the answer sheet through the SDD Digital Information System.

Stakeholders can apply for a hearing within 5 months of the start of the survey.

The review will be completed within 10 months from the date of filing. In case of extension under special circumstances, the extension will not exceed two months. During the above review period, the anti-dumping measures in this case issued by the Brazilian Foreign Trade Commission Resolution No. 49 of 2013 continued to be effective.
